Abstract
This paper reports the results obtained during an intercomparison exercise for the determination of radionuclides in a sediment sample collected from the bank of the Dudvah River. The intercomparison exercise was performed in the context of the programme “Harmonisation of techniques and methodologies for measuring radioactivity in the environment” with a network of laboratories of 10 new European Union Member States and Western Balkans countries. The participants were requested to determine the levels of 137Cs, 60Co, 40K and 90Sr, and invited to provide data for other radionuclides. The results were provided by 25 laboratories from 11 countries.
