Abstract
The thermoluminescence characteristics of the 110 and 210∘C peaks of quartz have been successfully exploited to date three rare and ancient Myanmar chess pieces. The particular aspect of this application was that the absorbed dose was evaluated using the polymineral fine-grain fraction with small quantities of the ceramic paste, and that three independent evaluations were possible: two using the pre-dose effect associated with the 110 and 210∘C peaks, and the other using an additive dose technique procedure with 210∘C peak.
