Abstract
This paper presents investigations of the PM-355 detector, mainly track diameters and depths as a function of C-ion energies and etching time. Using a scanning electron microscopy technique (SEM), we have studied the etch pit depth of tracks produced by C-ions in the PM-355 material. The VB values were estimated by weighing as a function of etching time. The VT values were calculated from the measured length of the etched tracks using Dorschel's relation.
