Abstract
Noise and signal, in a typical nuclear electronics channel, were studied. Experimental results were compared with deduced theoretical models especially for the noise. In these models, the influence of the total capacitance at the input of the channel, as well as the considered type of the preamplifier (ideal and real), has been taken into account. It was found that the input capacitance affects the noise more than the signal. Also, the real preamplifier type was more matched with the experimental result from the noise calculation.
