Abstract

Breakdown, perforated local rupture occurs in foil CR39 during electrochemical etching procedure, is resolved into plastic zone development reaches saturation. Present a physical model, modified concepts and mathematical model of effectiveness factor, reform expression of stress intensity factor of plastic zone and its developmental rate, work out numerical approximation of specified load durability by integral calculus. There is straight line dependence between measured insulation durability and the mathematic expectation of load durability. By use of parameter analysis several groups of common parameters and laws are derived. It is discovered that both load durability and parameters of saturation state in plastic zone are relevant to parameters of initial state in plastic zone of CR39, therein the regularity displays the saturate essence of plastic zone.
