Abstract
The interaction mean free paths of helium projectile fragments produced by the collisions of 16O at 3.7AÂ GeV in nuclear emulsion have been investigated. In the present analysis, 1971 helium projectile fragments giving rise to 321 secondary interactions have been used. Within the present statistics, we do not observe any anomalous behavior in the mean free path of helium projectile fragments. The interaction mean free path is found to be independent of the impact parameter of collisions and the helium projectile fragments multiplicity.
