Abstract
Silicon microelectronics has offered unique opportunities for semiconductor detector fabrications and modern readout highly integrated techniques that allow using of semiconductor detectors in an integral dose mode with micron spatial resolution, spectroscopy mode for very low dose rate and imaging mode for two-dimensional dose verification. All above have made electronic semiconductor dosimeters very attractive in conventional electron and X-ray therapies, intensity modulated radiation therapy, image guided radiation therapy, brachytherapy, neutron and proton therapies for real time dosimetry and Monte Carlo radiation transport verification making cancer treatment with better clinical outcome
