Abstract
► Gamma ray initiates acrylamide polymerization resulting in increase of viscosity. ► The viscosity change can be determined with a wireless magnetoelastic sensor. ► A relationship between frequency shift of sensor and gamma radiation dose is given. ► The linear range of determination is 0-50 Gy with a detection limit of 0.25 Gy. ► This method has the advantage of real-time, continuous and in situ measurement.
