Abstract
The darkening of γγ-irradiated glass was related to the binding of Si–O and Sn–O, and the binding of Na–O. The dosimetric range of glass color change was evaluated by colorimetry, UV–Vis spectrophotometry and ESR. Colorimetry and UV–Vis spectrophotometry, revealed linear changes up to 9 kGy. For the calibration curve of γγ-irradiation, the signal of g=2.01g=2.01 observed by ESR responded most sensitively with a linear increase with up to 12 kGy.
