Abstract
The time-scaling behavior of the 1970–2003 seismicity of southern Aegean area has been investigated by means of the Allan Factor analysis, which allows the detection and the quantification of time-clustering structures in point processes. The analysis of the time variation of the scaling exponent, defined by means of this statistics, has revealed precursory patterns related with the largest event (M = 6.1) of the sequence investigated.
