Abstract
⺠Neural activity might be constrained by a requirement of energy efficiency. ⺠Signaling in synchrony is a normal way to propagate information between neurons. ⺠Quality of synchrony affects the capacity to exchange information and the energy cost. ⺠Adaptive mechanism leads to high degree of synchronization between nonidentical neurons.
