Abstract
Analytic study is conducted on the (1Â +Â 1) and (2Â +Â 1) dimensional potential KdV equations. The work rests mainly on new ansatze that involve two hyperbolic functions. A set of new solitons, kinks, and periodic solutions is formally established.
