Abstract
⺠We propose a new method that can directly measure shear in 2 dimensional turbulence. ⺠This proposed method has better signal to noise ratio than the conventional method. ⺠It also yields information about the probability distribution of shear. ⺠The proposed method is inexpensive and applicable to 3 dimensional turbulence.
