Abstract
⺠We studied pulse propagation in a bistable ring of unidirectionally coupled maps. ⺠The duration of propagating pulses increases exponentially with the number of elements. ⺠Spatiotemporal noise sustains propagation of pulses. ⺠We showed these exponential transient propagating pulses in a discrete-time system for the first time.
