Abstract
⺠Nonlinear prediction error is widely used to test for weak nonlinearity in EEG. ⺠Two implementations of nonlinear prediction error are re-evaluated. ⺠Methods perform poorly for time series having periodicities typical of normal EEG. ⺠Nonlinear prediction error on its own is not sufficient for detecting nonlinearity in EEG.
