Abstract
⺠The Maslov index of solitary waves can be computed numerically. ⺠Exterior algebra is suitable for low-dimensional systems. ⺠A QR-type algorithm can be used for higher-dimensional systems. ⺠Several examples are treated: a class of reaction-diffusion equations, a longwave-shortwave equation and a seventh-order Korteweg-de Vries equation.
