Abstract
⺠An exothermic chemical wave front of F-KPP type in a dilute gas. ⺠The existence of a nonlinear hydrodynamic front speed correction. ⺠Its variational characterization and an approximate formula using a singular perturbation technique. ⺠Front dynamics, cut-off sensitivity and the profile controlled by this correction. ⺠The strong dependence of this effect on the viscosity and heat conductivity of the fluid.
