Abstract
Scattering from a rough surface has been widely used. In recent years, fractal geometry has been successfully applied to investigate the interaction between a fractal rough surface and a wave. In this paper, we discuss the reconstruction of a fractal rough surface with periodic boundary conditions. To reconstruct the fractal rough surface accurately, the fractal dimension is inverted directly. At the same time, an efficient direct searching method is given to avoid the difficulty of calculating the derivative of the minimal target function. The numerical simulations show that this method has high convergence speed and high precision.
