Abstract
Several characterizations for the entire solutions of a nonlinear inequality on a complete surface with total finite curvature, arising in the study of spacelike surfaces in generalized Robertson-Walker spacetimes, are given. In the parametric case, some uniqueness results are obtained as an application.
