Abstract
The equations of double diffusive convection in a binary mixture with Soret effect are considered. Symmetry properties of the equations are used for constructing exact invariant solutions describing a steady axisymmetric motion. It is shown that the obtained solutions can describe stationary flows in a vertical fluid layer between co-axial cylinders with different temperatures. The case when a horizontal temperature difference is accompanied by a vertical temperature gradient is considered separately. The influence of Soret effect and layer thickness on the flow type is investigated.
