Abstract
⺠Description is given of the surface disturbance created by the critical Gaussian beam. ⺠It is shown how to utilize GTD to simulate interaction of this disturbance with the wedge tip. ⺠Thus, Interaction is described of a critical Gaussian beam with a large surface-breaking crack. ⺠The problem is of theoretical interest and of importance in Non-Destructive Evaluation.
