Abstract
⺠A numerical procedure is presented for the multiple scattering of elastic waves in fiber-reinforced media. ⺠The proposed semi-analytical procedure is effective and applicable to arbitrary fiber arrangements. ⺠The computed effective phase velocities of a composite are compared to micromechanical predictions. ⺠The energy transmission spectra are shown for different fiber arrangements and volume fractions.
