Abstract
The improved eigenmode matching theory is developed to investigate band structure and transmission spectrum of lamb waves in a periodically stubbed waveguide with two imaginary “vacuum” layers added on the out surfaces of the quasi-one-dimensional system. The numerical results show that the width of some band gap can be changed upon varying the stub depth and width. It is also found that the transmission spectrum of finite system match the band structure very well and it is easier to achieve complete band gaps in the different materials system.
