Abstract
► Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) induces vigorous DNA damage responses. ► H. pylori activates ATM/ATR-dependent pathway and induces apoptosis in gastric cells. ► Lycopene effectively inhibits H. pylori-induced DNA damage and apoptosis. ► Lycopene may be beneficial for treatment of H. pylori-associated gastric disorders.
