Abstract

In this paper, we present a fabrication of a nano-composite Prussian blue (NPB) film to improve the durability of a regular PB film in an anhydrous Li+ based liquid electrolyte. The NPB film consists of random arrangement of indium tin oxide (ITO) nano-particles electrodeposited of PB. The improvement in durability of the NPB film is examined with quantitative comparison of the regular PB film from cyclic voltammetry (CV) and transmittance experiments. The improvement in durability in relationship with the crack formation and the porosity in PB and NPB films is discussed and examined. Our results demonstrate that NPB films can efficiently enhance the long-term cycling stability in anhydrous Li+ based liquid electrolytes.
