Abstract
An additional flux transfer function (TF) of transport of hydrogen in elastic metals was analysed. In spite of difference both in its definition and the boundary condition of transport, this TF is described by the same formula as the concentration TF. Properties of this flux TF were compared with the properties of two other flux TFs of the same process, discussed recently, and of its concentration TF. It was performed on an example of a metal–hydrogen solid of properties similar to those of α-phase Pd–H and Pd81Pt19–H ones, using TF’ spectra characterised by large errors (up to 5%). Estimates of the bulk elastic modulus of the solid and the diffusion coefficient of hydrogen acquired from the additional TF were found the most reliable.
