•Static-analytical method was successfully used to measure the solubility of xanthohumol in scCO2.•Experimental data on xanthohumol solubility in carbon dioxide measured in range 55–100 °C and high pressure 350–950 bar are reported.•It was found that xanthohumol solubility changed from 0.01 to 0.14 mg/g CO2 under the applied conditions.•The experimental data were fitted by Chrastil and Gordillo et al. models. The selected models fitted the experimental data well and resulted in reasonable values of the fitting parameters.
The paper describes studies on xanthohumol solubility in supercritical carbon dioxide. Studies were carried out with a static method in pressure range 350–950 bar and in temperature range 55–100 °C. Experimental data were used for the determination of constants in a semi-empirical equation of Chrastil and Gordillo et al. Solubility calculated according to selected models is in good agreement with the experimental data.
