Abstract

In this study, the enthalpies of vaporization, freezing point depressions, and boiling point elevations of aqueous single-electrolyte solutions were predicted with the two-ionic-parameter model involving the activity coefficients with two electrolyte-specific approaching and solvation parameters of the individual ions of the electrolyte in an aqueous solution. The results show that the predictions are fairly well with the average absolute relative deviations smaller than 6.0% for enthalpy of vaporization and 7.0% for freezing point depression and boiling point elevation, except for some solutions of high concentration and for that with non-completely dissociated weak electrolytes. The prediction results are numerically listed in the tables and discussed in the text.
