Abstract
Immunohistochemical and ultrastructural investigations demonstrated the impact of renovascular hypertension on the neuroendocrine system in the rat stomach. The changes in the total number and ultrastructure of DNES cells proved their undeniable role in the modulation of gastric dysfunction, as a consequence of deregulation of homeostasis-maintaining systems.
