Abstract
Liquid–liquid phase equilibrium (LLE) was determined for the systems triethylene glycol (TEG) + potassium carbonate + water and TEG + potassium fluoride + water at 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K. The experimental data was correlated using Othmer–Tobias and Bancroft equations. In order to determine salting-out ability of the salts and selecting a suitable salt for better separation of TEG and water, the partition coefficient and selectivity factor of TEG were calculated.
