Abstract
Binary liquid–liquid equilibrium in the systems containing monofunctional benzene derivates (toluene or methoxybenzene or chlorobenzene or acetophenone), and 1,2-ethanediol was measured by the volumetric method in the temperature range 283–333 K. It was found that solubilities of the selected monofunctional benzene derivates at ambient temperature were approximately 200 times higher than that in water. The experimental data were correlated by the NRTL equation.
