Abstract
Bubble point temperatures at 95.1 kPa, over the entire composition range are measured for the binary mixtures of N,N-dimethylformamide with: ortho-, meta-, and para-, xylenes and cresols, making use of a Swietoslawski type ebulliometer. The liquid phase mole fraction versus temperature measurements could be represented well by the Wilson model. The optimum Wilson parameters are used to calculate the: vapor phase composition, activity coefficients and excess Gibbs’ energy. The results are discussed.
