Abstract
In contrast to the other botulinum toxin products Xeomin only contains the 150Â kD neurotoxin without complexing proteins which have no therapeutic function and don't influence the diffusion of the neurotoxin. In large clinical Phase III studies (blepharospasm and cervical dystonia) Xeomin showed the same efficacy and profile of adverse events as Botox. Whereas competing product must be stored refrigerated, Xeomin is stable for 3Â years at room temperature.
