Abstract
This chapter is of a different nature, as it is devoted to the physiological significance of protein transduction and to the comparative analysis of the Penetratin PTD with its parental proteins, the homeoproteins. Although very academic, these two issues are of practical interest for the rational design of new vectors and the identification of unforeseen pathological mechanisms and pharmacological targets.
