Abstract
Cardiac fibrosis is a common pathologic finding in several cardiac myopathic diseases. Clinical implications of the presence of fibrosis are still under intense investigation. Several mouse and rat models have been used to gain a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying disease development, which may have a potential role for the reversal of fibrosis in these myopathic diseases.
