Switchable peptides

The function of peptides and proteins is strongly dependent on their three-dimensional structure, hence by controlling their conformation control over their activity can be achieved. This can be realised by the strategic manipulation of the amino acid sequence or by the introduction of functional molecules. In this review we describe the most recent work encompassing the manipulation and functionalisation of peptides within the field of switchable peptides.
