Abstract
New drug developments for the treatment of topical lung diseases and systemic uptake can be achieved by using the inhalative route. High, specific and reproducible targeting of these new drugs to specific regions of the lung is desired. Radioaerosol techniques in combination with planar gamma camera imaging are described to achieve an individual dose assessment of inhaled aerosolized drugs and to adjust inhalation devices for individual patient use.
