Abstract

This paper briefly reviews what human γδ T lymphocytes are and what they can do in anticancer and anti-infectious immunity. Both phosphoantigens, a new class of immunostimulatory leads, and some anticancer aminobisphosphonates selectively activate these lymphocytes. So, new molecules under development and endowed with diverse additional bioactivities are promising new leads for the design of highly innovative anticancer immunotherapies.
