Abstract
A new rotating disk electrokinetic model for characterizing charge properties of polyelectrolyte gels has been developed by taking into account the effect of surface conductivity associated with ion-penetrable soft surfaces which is usually neglected in classical electrokinetic model dealing with ion-impenetrable hard surfaces.
