Abstract
⺠We used dorsal root ganglia neuron culture as experimental model. ⺠We investigated the biological effects of NRG1 with particular emphasis on neurite growth. ⺠We tested the effects of NRG1 treatment in comparison to NGF and control conditions. ⺠NRG1 induces the growth of fewer but longer neurites in comparison to NGF treatment. ⺠The effects of NRG1 on neurite outgrowth could be partially mediated by NGF release.
