Abstract
Ghrelin serum levels are significantly increased in NSCLC patients, mainly in the subgroup of patients diagnosed with cachexia, indicating a possible implication in the pathogenesis of lung cancer. Further studies are needed to determine its potential role as predictive and prognostic marker.
