Abstract
⺠Centrosome abnormalities occur commonly in cancer. ⺠Centrosome clustering enables cells with extra centrosomes to divide successfully. ⺠We discuss the molecular basis of centrosome clustering and its biological roles. ⺠Clustering impacts on stem cell division, chromosomal stability and tumorigenesis. ⺠Inhibition of centrosome clustering promises to selectively target tumor cells.
