Abstract
⺠Novel aspects of mutual interactions between DNA repair and transcription are highlighted. ⺠Transcription can be a source of endogenous DNA damage. ⺠Repair intermediates can interfere with transcription by various mechanisms. ⺠There is growing evidence that DNA repair can cause a change of epigenetic marks.
