Abstract
⺠220 MeV/u 12C6+ ions is 1.5 times more effective than X-rays in inducing chromosomal aberration in bone marrow cell. ⺠The ratio of dose averaged liner energy transfer is approach the RBE. ⺠12C6+ ions could induce severe mitosis delay. ⺠The cell cycle is not recovered 72 h following irradiation.
