Abstract

The heat capacity of a crystal solvate of fullerene chloride, C60Cl30·0.09 Cl2, was measured by vacuum adiabatic calorimetry in the temperature range from (25 to 371.5) K. The thermodynamic functions (changes of the enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy) of C60Cl30·0.09 Cl2 have been derived. On the basis of obtained data and the enthalpy of formation of C60Cl30 determined before, the entropy and Gibbs free energy of formation of the fullerene chloride were calculated at T = 298.15 K.
