Abstract
⺠IL-1β-mediated induction of the COX2 gene requires p65 and p50. ⺠Genes encoding EP 1-4 receptors are expressed in rat islets and β-cell lines. ⺠COX2 and EP-4 gene expression is enhanced by PGD2 and PGE2. ⺠Expression of the EP-3 gene is decreased by PGD2 and PGE2. ⺠PGD2 and PGE2 augment cytokine-mediated NF-κB and GAS reporter gene activity.
