Abstract
Glucose oxidase was immobilized in two redox conductive polymers, poly(methylmercapto-p-benzoquinone) and poly(dimethylmercapto-p-benzoquinone) films, on Au-electroplated glassy carbon electrodes. The two films were prepared by electropolymerization of methylmercapto-hydroquinone and dimethylmercaptohydroquinone, respectively. The resulting enzyme electrodes functioned as direct response type of glucose sensors and could reject the interference of physiological level of electroactive interferents like ascorbic acid and uric acid. The sensors showed excellent selectivity and possessed good durability.
