Abstract
► Prilling is an integrated-process of spray and chilling to produce particle. ► Size of prills is decreased with increasing the gas to liquid mass ratio (GLR). ► Iron is encapsulated into fat-based emulsion particles produced by prilling. ► Smaller prills show faster release kinetics compared to that of larger particles. ► The release kinetics can be also controlled by changing drop size of emulsion.
