Abstract
Monoolein (MO) cubic phases containing cinnamic acid (CA) were prepared by hydrating the mixture melts of MO and CA with buffer solutions. The release degree of methylene blue (MB, a cationic dye) from the cubic phases was higher when the pH value of release medium was lower and was suppressed more when the CA content was higher. On the contrary, the release degree of amaranth (AM, an anionic dye) from the cubic phases was higher at a higher pH value and at all the pH values tested was little affected by the CA content.
