Abstract
Au/La1−xSrxMnO3 (x ≈ 0.4) was prepared by an ultrasound-driven technique at nanoscale. Physical morphology was characterised using XRD, TEM, BET and SEM-EDS, and its activity was tested in a fixed bed reactor at two different ratios of CH4/O2. A 79.6% CO selectivity and a 54.7% CH4 conversion were obtained at a low CH4/O2 ratio; however, at higher CH4/O2 ratios, the selectivity of C2 became significant. With the presence of Au, the CH4 conversion, H2 yield and C2 and CO selectivity were improved.
